Staying true to Mara’s interpretation of classic Americana, inspired by the great Willie Nelson, Session Stylist Nick Irwin worked together with Artistic Director, Richard Mannah to re-create the iconic double braided style with a clean, but natural twist, reminiscent of the psychedelic era of the 1970’s.
The first documentary on designer Ralph Lauren, “Very Ralph,” got a very New York welcome on October 24th. No doubt, everyone there had something nice to say about the iconic American designer during the event!
“His story is a tale of not only fashion, it’s much larger than that. It’s a tale of American culture and America for the last 50 years,” said Vera Wang, who once worked for Lauren. “And American success — and one in a real way, a hard way. I mean, that’s a good story.” This is my personal coverage of the event, including couple of my favorite film photos.
Backstage fun. Another incredible New York Fashion week season with ORIBE and Kien Hoand for Helmut Lang’s Fall 2019 collection, presented in New York. The show marked a genuine, hype-free return to the brand’s roots. Creating clothes for those more interested in dressing down than dressing up, Lang was the first to make parka-jackets, baggy jeans and sneakers high fashion. Needless to say one of the most influential fashion figures of the 90s’, Lang returns to the catwalks of NYFW after a year and a half break to debut his fall 2019 collection.
